Mehock Field, Mansfield, Ohio The Mansfield St.peter’s track team will open their season on Saturday at the Plymouth invitational against the likes of Crestview and Shelby locally. Coach Bruce Woodson says the team has about five returning seniors bu many are newbies to the sport. “We have about 5 returning seniors, but for the most part we are brand new and we will just have to work it out and see what we can do and what we have. The Spartans do have one indivdual who who run multple event in Peyton Bodnar who made podium at state last season in the 400 meters finishing in 8th place. Bodnar competes in the 100, 200, 400, and also takes part in the 4X100 and even the 4X400. I’m hoping to make it back to state in the 400 and 200,” said Bodnar I got to state in the 200, but did not podium. Maybe this is a long shot but I’d to get to state in the 100 and bring along some of my teamates in the 4×400.
