Men's Bracketology: 2024 NCAA Tournament
Bracketology is in its 30th season on ESPN. Selection Sunday has arrived and there are just a few lines of the bracket to be determined. Here's where it stands with just five conference tournament titles remaining.
Bracket Watch
After the craziest Saturday in the history of Championship Week, Selection Sunday dawned in relative calm. The only "shocking" result figures to be Duquesne knocking off slightly favored VCU for the Atlantic 10 crown, a perfect bow on the career of Dukes coach Keith Dambrot. Even the bubble was left unscathed Sunday. As usual, we may be off a team or two on either side of the cut line, but the real story is the number of genuinely qualified teams left out. Most years the "snubs" are mediocre; this year we could have seen the likes of Seton Hall, Pitt, Providence, Virginia and even Indiana State win multiple NCAA games. There simply aren't enough spots for them, given the unusually successful set of bid stealers. My reactions to the field will be elsewhere on the site. In the meantime, thanks for following along this season!
