SHELBY, OH- The Shelby Lady Whippets Volleyball team hosted the Lady Western Reserve Roughriders Monday night for a non-conference matchup. The Lady Whippets walked away with a three-set sweep.In the first set, It was all The Lady Whippets, The lady Whippets cruised 25-12.In the second set, the Lady Roughriders improved and only trailed by four points midway through the second set. Lady Whippets accelerated and won the set by a twelve-point margin 25-12.In the third and final set, The Lady Roughriders were leading 14-9 halfway through the third set, The Lady Whippets clawed their way back into the game and won the third set 26-24 after a close game back and forth with the Lady Western Reserved Roughriders.UP NEXT: The Lady Whippets next game (9-7 Overall) (5-4 MOAC) will travel to Marengo to take on The Highland Lady Fighting Scots on Tuesday, September 26 at 7:00 p.m. The Lady Roughriders’ next game (11-5 Overall) (7-1 Firelands Conference) will travel to St. Paul (Norwalk) Lady Flyers on Tuesday, September 26 at 7:00 p.m.
