Brigitte Coles joined WMFD-TV in April 2004 as an  Anchor/Reporter for Newswatch,  5, 6, 10 and 11 evening newscasts. She is also the host and producer of WMFD-TV’s weekly program “Focus On North Central Ohio”. 

Before joining WMFD-TV, Brigitte  was an Anchor/Reporter for WBP TV-59 in Ashland, Ohio, where she anchored the 6 and 10 evening newscasts and worked as a disc jockey for the company's radio station WNCO 101.3 F.M.

Brigitte loves what she does because she loves people and feels everyone's concerns and needs can be addressed through the news.

Brigitte's accomplishments and honors include assisting in the development of the first ever “Rally For Peace”, organized on behalf of the Heritage Trails Girl Scout Council to help raise awareness towards the prevention of violence in the local school districts. Coles also developed and assisted in organizing a two-county kick-off program in honor of National Girl Scout Week titled “Shaping Today’s Young Women Into Tomorrow’s Leaders”.

In 1994 Brigitte captured the title of Miss Parma Heights and went on to compete in the 1995 Miss Ohio Scholarship Program, where she received the Miss America Spirit of Excellence Award. Brigitte returned to the Miss Ohio Scholarship Program in 1996 as a featured performer.

Brigitte is a native of Mansfield Ohio. She is an honors  graduate of the Ohio and Illinois Center For Broadcasting in Cleveland Ohio, where she majored in radio, television communications. In her  spare time Brigitte enjoys weight lifting, running and listening to jazz.
