Interim Mansfield Schools Supt. Ed Swartz and Interim Site Administrator Doug Castle were recognized for their work with the district since February, which comes to an end on Friday.

Swartz believes the school district is moving in the right direction.  He attended a reception in his honor following Tuesday night's board of education meeting and praised the school board for its hiring of new superintendent Dan Freund.

Swartz says he works with board policy in 60 school districts in Ohio and will continue to do so but admits he's looking forward to haveing some time off to catch up on some reading.
